We have been working hard to be able to resume our activities for 2020.  As you are all aware this has been an “Exceptional Year” in many ways for us all.

The first and most important point is if you are feeling unwell, have a fever, sore throat, suffering from shortness of breath, returned recently from interstate or overseas or have been in contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of having Coronavirus please do not attend.  If you have underlying health issues and for your protection and would prefer to wear a mask please wear one.

Our meeting held on 17th October 2020 in the Uniting Church Hall at 1.15 pm will give us the opportunity to get together and plan our future forward.  This will be a regular meeting to share time together
Guest Speaker – Michael Smith – Understanding Trove
We will be able to share a cup of tea, this will be provided in a throw-away cup – if you would prefer to bring your own cup please do.

This also allows for our regular activities to recommence ie Evening Computing, Resource Room openings and DNA/Family Tree Maker Workshops.

Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group

The Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group Inc. (FPFHG) was formed in October 1996 by local people with a common interest in Genealogy, and was later expanded to include local history. Our members either live on the Fleurieu Peninsula, or have ancestors who resided in the area.

We have several Special Interest Groups including Computer groups to help members with their research. Our Resource Room holds a large variety of information on CD-ROMs,  as well as a growing library of books, some are reference, but many can be borrowed by the members.

We meet monthly January to November. The monthly meetings are of a social nature and generally feature a guest speaker. We cover many Genealogical subjects, as well as Local and Social History. Please visit the various tabs on our website, and don’t forget to see if you have ancestors living on the Fleurieu Peninsula Fleurieu Pioneers, and join our face book page.

Please check Event Calendar for upcoming meetings and group activities.
