General Meeting (no resource room)

This months general meeting has a meeting fee of $2 per person for members or $5 per person for visitors, which includes afternoon tea. For those members that have paid the years meeting fees with their years membership, there’s nothing more to pay.
The Resource Room will not be open. The meeting time is 1:15pm and the talk is by Nick Solomon as follows:
- An Introduction and demonstration of our free FamilySearch.org Software, tools and Database
- How one signs up and registers
- The basic displays and tree building tools
- The Memories function for uploading and cataloguing historical family photos and written family stories
- The use of fan charting to aid family history research
- The power of the FamilySearch.org Wiki for guiding and supporting research across any geography in the world
- A general Question & Answer session on FamilySearch.org and how the members of the Fleurieu Peninsula Family History Group would be welcome to use and leverage our Software and the more than 16.3+ billion free names in our database
- Discussion of the Plans for the up coming Roots Tech 2024 event at our Church HQ in Utah
