This months meeting is on Saturday 21 October 2023 will be held at the usual place, the Uniting Church Hall, 23 William Street, Christies Beach, South Australia.

The Resource Room will be open from 12noon for borrowing books. If you would like to use a computer before the meeting begins it will need to be booked.

Members can attend for free and guests are $3 per person. Please bring a gold coin if you would like afternoon tea (eg. coffee or tea plus biscuit or cake). Also change if you would like to purchase from the trading table (eg. home made jam, books, etc).

The meeting time is 1:15pm and the speaker was to be Ian Smith on his book “For Love of Country” but he is not able to attend due to health issues. So instead we will have speakers from “Spirit in Unity Empowering Families all the Wayzzzz”. This is two Aboriginal ladies talking about their culture. I have attended a talk by them recently and I found it very enlightening. Although I’m 9th generation Australian I learnt a lot. Maybe because I’m a Baby Boomer and this wasn’t taught in school. Kerry
